architectural details of the originals, to enhance your period property.

sound proofing.
It will now be a pleasure to open and close the windows
as the sashes will glide smoothly up and down on their new brush pile beads.

double glazed units, sash locks and security restrictors fitted.
All our windows comply with building regulation Part L
and local conservation requirements.
Greater performing windows are essential as
global warming is now recognised as an issue that will affect us all in
the future, so the saving of energy is of paramont importance to the
environment and with the rising costs of fuel good economic
sense.
We work on houses from the Georgian era through
Victorian and Edwardian properties.
Double glazed sashes
When your window frames are still in a sound condition
and perhaps do not warrant the expense of complete renewal.
We offer a service to upgrade them to a modern
specification and performance, by replacing the sashes only, fitted with our
high performance double glazed units then installed into your original
frames.
The application of this service is subject to the
condition of the original frames as if too many repairs are needed it becomes a
false economy not to renew completely.
An inspection by our surveyor will quickly confirm the
condition of your windows and advise you accordingly.
Refurbishment of existing windows
If your windows are jammed shut, draughty, rattling
and tired with broken cords and pulleys.
They can be reconditioned provided they are
structurally sound, by refurbishing we can transform their performance and
lifespan.
The work consists of taking out the sashes, beads,
pulleys, weights, and the removing of any excess paint causing problems
with the sashes sliding smoothly.
The sashes are checked for loose joints and any broken
glass replaced, they are weighed and counter balanced with the correct
weight.
The pulleys will then be renewed before rehanging the
sashes on new sash cords, all beads will be replaced using our new brush pile
staff beads.
After rehanging, sashes will be fitted with new
catches and security locks;all new wood to be painted to your specification.
Any sections of the frame or sash that are found to be
rotten will be repaired using new wood or replaced totally depending on the
state of the deterioration.
Our surveyor will make an inspection before quoting you
for the work as we do not want any surprises once work has started.
