Technical
Our company policy is to maintain quality and
traditional methods over any modern shortcuts that may be available. For
example the use of spring balances as a substitute for weights and pulleys. All
our joinery is manufactured using mortice and tenon joints wedged and glued in
the time honored way. All mouldings, horn shapes and construction details are
faithfully reproduced by craftsmen.
Timber
All Karters Sash Windows are constructed using joinery
quality Swedish sourced softwood timber with sapele hardwood cills from
sustainable sources. We are conscious of any environmental issues with the use
of timber in our products.
Draught System
Our internal brush pile not only cuts draughts
significantly, it also reduces dirt entering your home, the system cuts down
friction, enabling the sash to glide up and down effortlessly. Noise reduction
is also an added benefit of the draught system.
